This page is the working architecture note for the CAUK web estate. Use this pageit when changing CAUK website hosting, DNS, email, redirects, or redirects.the docs service.

    DNS andEmail email

      cauk.org.uk email is on LCN. The web DNS for cauk.org.uk points at the Krystal server. Do not change the LCN mail records when changingduring website DNS work unless an email migration is planned. Documentation docs.cocaineanonymous.org.uk runs BookStack on the CAUK VPS at 217.174.245.120, behind Nginx and Docker.

      WordPress sites

      The public WordPress estate uses separate WordPress installs for the main site and key subdomains. It is not a single WordPress Multisite for the main CAUK domains.

      Known public sites:

        www.cocaineanonymous.org.uk: main CAUK area site. meetings.cocaineanonymous.org.uk: meeting directory. events.cocaineanonymous.org.uk: events calendar. shop.cocaineanonymous.org.uk: literature shop. forms.cocaineanonymous.org.uk: central forms.

        Old SiteGround references should be treated as stale unless a newer page says otherwise.

        DNS and redirect checks

        Checks from 7 July 20262026:

        • https://cauk.org.uk returns 301 to https://www.cocaineanonymous.org.uk/.
        • MX cauk.org.uk returns mx0.lcn.com and mx1.lcn.com.
        • A cauk.org.uk resolves to 77.72.2.156.
        • Reverse DNS for 77.72.2.156 points to p156.lon.krystal.io.

        Docs service

        The docs site is separate from the WordPress estate.

          Public URL: https://docs.cocaineanonymous.org.uk. App: BookStack. Host: CAUK VPS at 217.174.245.120. Reverse proxy: Nginx. Containers: BookStack and MariaDB under /opt/bookstack.

          Backups for BookStack are handled on the VPS. Do not store credentials or backup keys in public pages.
